Moses Goes Out Free
Moses was so crippled that he could hardly shuffle into the clinic. Moses had come to the clinic with little hope in his eyes. If he could not find help here, he had no reason to go on. I clasped Moses' crippled hands in mine and told him how much Jesus loved him. I gave Moses a prescription, directed him to the pharmacy, and asked him to return the next day.

The next morning I had food ready to give Moses. When his name was called, he came toward me with the same slow shuffle, but there was something different about Moses. As he sat on the bench before me, all the lines of anguish were gone from his face.

Moses began to explain, "Last night as I was lying in my shack, I began to pray to Jesus, and then he was there. He put out his hand and touched me, and I fell asleep.  When I woke up this morning I felt so different. I know I will be all right now." I gave Moses the food and as I watched him leave the clinic, I thought, Moses is truly free.
