Site Spotlight: Vancouver
AUGUST 19-27 ~~~ $395

Vancouver, British Columbia is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with 180 parks within the city, but most of the people who live there have never experienced the inner beauty that comes from a personal relationship with the Savior. With half of a million people, Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada, but less than 1% of its population are Christians.

What can you do to help? Is God asking you to share Jesus Christ in Vancouver? This summer Sun City teams will be ministering with The Warehouse, reaching out to families, teens, and children in East Vancouver. The people of East Vancouver are in desperate need of a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. Crystal Meth has been used by 20% of East Vancouver teens. Single parents are now raising 17% of the families. That's over 16,000 single-parent families in East Vancouver alone! More than one third of all minor children are living below the poverty line. What can you do to help? Come join us and The Warehouse to bring light to dark hearts in East Vancouver.

I Used to Smoke the Bible
Cigarettes were not allowed in the prison, so we smuggled in tobacco and rolled it in pages of a Gideon Bible. One time I fell asleep with my "Bible cigarette" between my fingers. When I awoke, I found the cigarette burned out. All that remained were the pieces of Scripture which read, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" (Acts 9:4). I asked for another Bible and read the full story of Saul's conversion. My cellmates thought I'd gone mad as I prayed the Sinner's Prayer with tears rolling down my cheeks. One week later an AG pastor prayed with me to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. When I was released, I went to Teen Challenge. They gave me a place to serve where I matured in my Christian life. After getting married, God called my wife and me to be missionaries. Now, instead of smoking God's word, I am speaking it.
