| Site Spotlight: Veracruz Veracruz is located 200 miles east of Mexico City, on the Gulf of Mexico. It's a popular tourist location with beautiful beaches, amazing scenery, and exquisite culture. Veracruz has the largest population in the state, with 500,000 people. The city is known for its rich traditions of music, and its dance traditions parallel Veracruz's unique musical styles. Plaza Lerdo, in downtown Veracruz, is the heart of the city's nightlife. People sit outside the plaza watching musicians and dancers perform. Veracruz's Palacia Municipal and 18th century cathedral are also located here. Come minister with us to the people of beautiful Veracruz and its surrounding areas. |
Eavesdropping on Sunday School I'm Bemihary. Growing up in Madagascar, I worshipped my ancestors. I was told they had to be appeased. Then a small church opened near my home, but my father made me tend the cattle on Sunday mornings. So, I took the cattle to the pasture next to the church. Sitting outside the window, I kept eye on the cattle and still heard the exciting stories. This Jesus was truly powerful, and he loved children. One day the teacher asked those who wanted to accept Jesus to raise their hands. I raised my hand. Because of that teacher, I am now preparing for the ministry. Watson, J. "Whosoever" (1991).
